As the climate crisis intensifies, entities around the globe have committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. States throughout the country are aiming to drive greenhouse gas emissions 80% below 1990 levels by the year 2050. Similar goals are in place in the European Union, United Kingdom, and various other countries. As the target year approaches, concerns surrounding emissions reductions continue to linger.
