Dariah Norwood currently serves as an Analyst on the Regulatory Strategy team at National Grid. She joined the company’s Downstate Government Affairs department in May 2022 as part of the Graduate Development Program. Dariah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She continued her academic journey at New York University, earning a Master of Science in Global Affairs with a specialization in Energy Policy.
During her time at NYU, Dariah focused her graduate thesis on the development of renewable energy technologies in Sub-Saharan African countries, reflecting her commitment to global sustainability.
Before her role at National Grid, Dariah gained valuable experience contributing to the historic Gubernatorial campaign of Stacey Abrams and serving as a District Intern for the late Congressman John Lewis. She also worked as a Federal Government Relations intern at Duke Energy in Washington, DC. She further applied her skills and knowledge in energy policy at Apex Clean Energy, working in both the State and Federal Government Affairs departments.
